As an NDIS provider and a builder with experience renovating with accessibility in mind, we can assist with your home modifications to support independent and individualised living. Examples of supported living include homes without steps, accessible bathrooms with walk in or roll in shower, accessible kitchens and storage, grab rails, height adjusted benchtops, lever door handles and ramps.

Local Builders Supporting Our Community
In Victoria, only registered builders can conduct building works over $10,000. This includes renovations and extensions. If you are doing any structural work to a building, then the builder or tradesperson must be registered, regardless of the cost of the work, and you will require a building permit to begin the works.
Registered builders must have the appropriate insurance including public liability insurance and must also take out Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) for your project if the building work costs more than $16,000. This covers defective or incomplete work for up to six years if your builder dies, disappears or becomes insolvent.
Licensed builders are compelled to obtain the appropriate permits and insurances to conduct the works on your property. Roberts Builders also have extensive experience coordinating tradespeople to get the job done safely and properly.
Why Engage A Local Builder For Your Home Renovation or Extension?
A renovation or extension which includes making changes to the layout, design and functionality of the home including moving, removing or adding new walls, changing and creating doorways, replacing your entire kitchen or bathroom or making any changes to external walls will require a licensed building practitioner (registered builder). Any renovation more than $10,000 or that involves more than 2 specific trades is considered a substantial renovation and still requires a licensed building practitioner (registered builder) to conduct and project manage the works.
